2011 Pancake Breakfast - Thank You For Your Support

The annual OFD Palm Sunday Pancake Breakfast drew several hundred townspeople for what has become a town tradition on the holiday. The support we get for this event is terrific and we appreciate everyone's coming out to a fun (and filling) morning at the firehouse. You can view photos from the event here.

OFD Philanthropy

The Oaklyn Fire Department recently participated in two events for great causes. Read more about these events below, and check out a few pictures from the events in our photo gallery.

First up, on Saturday, March 19th, several OFD members participated in the American Lung Association's Fight For Air Climb in Philadelphia. The event raises money to help the American Lung Association improve lung health and prevent lung disease. In addition to the many individuals participating in the event, a number of firefighters, police officers, and other first responders from around the Philadelphia and South Jersey area turned out to climb 50 stories worth of stairs, and OFD was proud to be a part of the event.

The next day, members of the Oaklyn Fire Department joined other area firefighters and members of the community at the local St. Baldrick's event in Collingswood. The OFD members helped raise money to find a cure for childhood cancers, and also had their heads shaved in a show of solidarity with children who have cancer. OFD was honored to participate in this year's St. Baldrick's event, and we are already looking forward to next year's event.
